Google announced some time ago that they were beta-testing a new email service called GMAIL (clever eh?). The only way you can get an account right now is to be invited.

If you go here, you get a chance to win an invite. Just keep refreshing your browser until all 5 numbers come up the same.

UPDATE: They reneged on sending me the invite because they say there was too much “cheating”. I worked hard to win and I think they’re full of it.
