Through The Mist Darkly

Sitting here at Jake’s after another brutal day at work. This smoking cessation thing is killing me. I’ve backslid a bit today but I’ve still cut down considerably.

Budget time is probably the worst time for me to try and quit but, with Jan away, this was the best week possible.

I haven’t murdered anyone yet but I’ve come close and it will only get worse. I’ve tried to watch the food intake as well because the last time I quit, (10 years – don’t ask) I gained considerable weight and I’d rather avoid that if I could.

….must…resist….urges……aaaarrrrgggghhhh!!!

On Sunday, Edmonton Alberta got hit by a freak storm that started with hail and ended up with a torrential downpour. One of my co-workers in Edmonton put together this PowerPoint slide show that documents what a strange summer afternoon they had. Thanks Todd.

Jan arrived in Edmonton just a few hours before this hit. I sure am glad she didn’t have to fly through this crap.
