I mentioned yesterday that I got my first speeding ticket in a long long time.
At least I wasn’t driving like the guy in this link.
Even though the video is sped up, you can tell that he’s travelling by the relative speed of the other cars. This was filmed in Montreal. I’ve driven the route he takes and I know I’d be a little careful driving at speed. Quebec drivers are crazy and I guess this guy is king.

I took this last winter in the conservatory near my home here in Brampton. Came across the calico cat who pretty well owns the place. On a quiet Sunday morning, it seemed appropriate.

Most of the major newspapers in the US now require that you register before reading their content. This is not only time consuming but incredibly stupid. Bug Me Not, an add on for Firefox gives you access to a pool of signons to defeat this insanity.
To prove their point, Bug Me Not has produced a tongue in cheek registration form directed at those who work for or support such sites.
A few sample questions:
* Would you be willing to have an RFID chip inserted under your skin in exchange for a free, 12 month newspaper subscription?
* Out of ten how would you rate your partner’s satisfaction with your sexual performance

Love to ride horses? Love to watch for terrorists? Now do both!!
The Houston Airport System now invites you to join up for their Airport Rangers Program. From their application site:
“Thank you for your interest in the George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) Airport Rangers program. The Airport Rangers program was created with security and community participation in mind. Airport Rangers are mounted security patrol made up of volunteers, including off-duty law enforcement officers that ride their horses along the perimeter of the 11,000 acre Bush Intercontinental Airport. In return for keeping an eye out for suspicious activity in the area, equestrians have a pristine location, including wooded trails to ride and the airport has extra eyes and ears in areas that most security patrols can not easily access.”
I kept looking closely to see if this was a joke but apparently not. More information (including an application form) available here.
