TRICKS OF THE TRADE

Brand new site that asks for and shares tricks of the trade. Only two posts so far but I’ve discovered something already like this one for singing in a choir:

>“If you’re singing in a mid-sized choir and you suddenly forget the lyrics, just mouth the word “watermelon” over and over, in time with the music, until you remember them again. The audience won’t be able to tell the difference.”

I’m bookmarking this one.

WHY SO MANY POSTS TODAY?

Thanks for asking. We’re on vacation for a week!
Started it off this morning with an early morning 9 hole game. Shot a 45 which should have been lower except the two par 5′s cost me a total of 17 strokes.
Yard work will keep me busy for the rest of the day.

RYDER CUP

Golf fans are anticipating the Ryder Cup that starts in less than 2 weeks. Team golf played in different formats makes for great viewing pitting the best golfers in the US against an elite European team.

The PGA’s excellent site gives you all the information you’ll need to enhance your enjoyment.

COUNTERS, COUNTERS, COUNTERS

Earth Today shows a number of counters including populaation, vehicle production, movie visitors and other interesting stats. Not sure how accurate they are but it’s fascinating watching the numbers increase.

While writing this, over 87 million babies have been born this year while 35 million people have died. The term “overpopulation” comes to mind. Bicycle production is running almost 3 times auto production. That should be good for the environment.
