WE’VE HAD ENOUGH

Tube

Last full day in London. As you can see by the picture, we’ve spent enough time on the Tube that it has lost its appeal. Lin in the pink and my mother Maxine in the gray nodding off yesterday on the way downtown.

Today we made our last trip, this time to Knightsbridge to shop at Harrod’s. I love shopping *NOT*. Back in the hotel now and we’ll have an early dinner and turn in. The alarm goes off at 4 tomorrow morning and it’s off to Heathrow at 6. A quick flight on BMI to Glasgow and finally we board Air Canada for the long trip home.

These last few days have been great to keep our minds off the reason we came here. In quiet moments, however, it all comes back and the pain is still there. I am amazed at the strength and stamina of my Mother and I am so glad that we had the chance to make this journey together.

  1. You were a blessing to your
    mother and a great friend
to me. Tell Jan she is very
lucky to have a lovely man
    like you. Your mom already
    knows.
    Thanks for your friendship,
and for taking all the great
    pictures.
    We’re off to bed. Bye
