THE PARTY IS OVER

Uncategorized

Back to work tomorrow after 2 weeks away from the grind. I’d love to regale you with tales of all the wonderful things we did and how every day was productive. But I can’t. We essentially did nothing and I feel all the better for it.

Christmas and New Year’s were nice but quiet. Just the 4 of us sharing time together without the oblgation to be somewhere at sometime to do something. Bliss! Too much is made of being busy and accomplishing something with every day of your life. We worked hard in 2005 and, as readers well know, it wasn’t the greatest of years in Casa d’Hayden. Don’t you think we deserved some downtime? I sure do.

Tomorrow it’s back to the office with all the fun, excitement and challenges that entails. I’m ready and actually looking forward to it, something I usually don’t feel at the end of a vacation. No idea how long the feeling will last but let’s ride the wave while we can. In 5 weeks I’ll be back in Switzerland and there’s a mountain of work to be done before I leave.

The one thing I want to do this year is have some fun.
