Message To K-Fed: 14:55..14:56..14:57…

Forget the elections, here’s the REAL news of the day.  Britney Spears has filed to divorce her husband Kevin Federline (sorry, K-Fed).

The former dancer and erstwhile rapper can now resume his life of total obscurity and give the rest of the world a break.

Of course Kevin could make a few million from his new album that has been receiving such wildly enthusiastic reviews on Amazon.com.  Just a few examples:

  • “Do you want to laugh? And I mean the kind of deep-down, uncontrollable, belly laugh that leaves your sides so sore that it hurts to go poop later? **THIS** is the album for you. “
  • “I purchased the CD because I thought I might get some laughs out of it. I was pretty wrong. It just made me violently sick and truly disappointed that this guy got a record contract.”
  • “So i heard the single of this “album”, it made me want to commit suicide.”
  • “The noise that my grandparents make when they are having sex is better than this album”

Or, perhaps not.  Sure hope he signed a pre-nup.

Oops

Two United aircraft were involved in an incident this morning at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.  One aircraft clipped the other’s wing as they were both taxiing out for departure.

Sounds like someone didn’t watch the separation closely.

Fedex Cancels A380 Orders

Down day for Airbus as Fedex announces that it is canceling its order of 10 A380 freighters and, instead, will order 15 Boeing 777 airplanes with an option to purchase 15 more.

This comes as Airbus announced that the delivery delay for the giant is now a full 2 years.  Other carriers are mulling over their orders already in the pipeline and still others are shying away from making any committments.

Voting Machine Problems

November 7th, 2006 EyeNo No comments

AP reports(via CNN) that widespread problems are being reported with electronic voting machines are causing havoc during today’s mid-term elections in the US.

Plenty of conspiracy nuts have opined that the machines can be hacked or controlled so that results can be changed to favor specific candidates but it appears that the real problem is less sinister than that.  Let’s face it – computers and the people who manage them screw up.

Of course, this will give which ever side loses plenty of ammunition to cry “foul” for the next 2 years.
