And here I thought the only danger posed by a Krispy Kreme doughnut was that they were essentially heart attacks in a sugar glaze. Now we hear that they fall under the banned items at airport checkins at Heathrow ([[LHR]]). It’s not all bad news, the ban doesn’t apply to the standard “ring” doughnuts, just the filled variety.
Seems there’s a risk that an enterprising fanatic could fill the pastries with some unspecified concotion that could be used to blow up an airplane.
Have we really sunk to this level of paranoia?
