Discretion

As much as it pains me, I’ve taken Michael Crook’s image off the site. I’m not ashamed to say that this whole situation has gotten out of hand and has me just a little bit worried.

I started this site 4 years ago as a spot to share interesting links, my photography and my inane ramblings.  I have fun doing this and a few people have commented that they’ve found 1 or 2 things that they liked while visiting.  By far, the most hits I’ve ever received have come over the last week.

I doubt that the simple removal of an image will have much of bearing on the increasingly hostile messages I’m receiving.  Being threatened with a 60 million dollar lawsuit, no matter how ridiculous it appears on the surface, leads an ordinary man to question whether it’s all worth it.

I’d like to thank those who have sent me messages of support.  Please don’t think me a coward but I really want to steer this site back to its original direction and I can do without all the threats.  I will be removing all the posts relating to this little prank (except this one) but I know full well that it is impossible to control cached content in all the tubes that make the internet such a glorious thing.

Please feel free to take up the fight.  A simple Google image search will get you all the ammunition you need.  I urge you to follow the EFF case against Mr. Crook and support them by making a donation.  They’re fighting for all our rights.
